Principal / Lead Clean Water Process Engineer
Location: Southeast UK (with regular travel to Snodland, Kent)
Rate: £56.75/hr
Are you a seasoned Process Engineer with a deep understanding of the UK water sector? Looking for a role where you can truly own the design process, lead a talented team, and act as the primary technical voice for major water company clients?
We are partnering with a leading engineering consultancy to find a Lead Clean Water Process Engineer to drive forward critical infrastructure projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead & Deliver: Head up both front-end (FEED) and detailed clean water process designs for major UK water companies.
- Direct the Team: Provide technical direction, mentorship, and guidance to a team of process engineers.
- Client Interface: Act as the primary technical contact, regularly presenting findings, recommendations, and complex technical data to clients and wider stakeholders.
- Project Management: Successfully manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to hit key milestones.

What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 10+ years of demonstrable experience in clean water design within the UK water sector.
- Credentials: Ideally Chartered with IChemE, IET, or CIWEM.
- Expertise: Fully conversant with current UK design standards and the unique challenges facing water treatment today.
- Mobility: Ability to regularly travel to client offices in the Kent area.
