Process Engineering Manager III-V Location: Suffolk, onsite working required
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineering Manager to lead wafer process development and oversee end-to-end delivery within a semiconductor fabrication environment. This is a critical technical and leadership position, operating within a high-technology setting that combines cutting-edge R&D with low-volume, high-quality manufacturing. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing next-generation semiconductor technologies, driving process innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of development and production objectives
. Key Responsibilitie s:Leadershi p:Drive process innovation to support the organisation’s technology roadma p.Own end-to-end delivery performance within the wafer fabrication facility for both R&D and low-volume production activitie s.Set clear objectives and deliverables for team members, aligned with business and customer requirement s.Lead performance management activities to support employee development and engagemen t.Develop team capability through structured skills development programmes, ensuring sufficient capacity, resilience, and expertise across multiple project s.Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance cultur e.Promote continuous improvement by embedding lessons learned into future process and product developmen t.Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards and best practice

To be considered you will need the follow ing:Degree (or higher qualification) in a relevant technical discipline such as:Enginee ringMaterials Sci encePhy sicsChemi stryMinimum of 5 years’ experience within a semiconductor wafer fabrication environm ent.Previous experience in a technical leadership, supervisory, or management r ole.Broad knowledge of semiconductor processing techniq ues.Strong understanding of III-V semiconductor materials and associated manufacturing proces ses.Proven ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing technical te ams.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven appro ach.Postgraduate qualification in a relevant scientific or engineering discipl ine.Experience in laser integrated circuits (ICs) and/or optical device manufactur ing.Experience leading new materials evaluation and development programmes within an R&D environm ent.Knowledge of advanced yield improvement methodologies and process optimisation techniq
