Process & Operational Excellence Delivery Manager
Lean Transformation Leader

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead the overall deployment of a Lean Transformation, with specific responsibility for initiatives and continuous improvement practices and routines.
- Guide the current state and future state, including:
- Development of implementation plans
- Assessment of the impact and value of changes (in strong cooperation with business unit experts)
- Develop and nurture strong partnerships with Business Unit (BU) leaders to understand and prioritise specific challenges, ensuring continuous improvement is integrated effectively into their organisations.
- Use a standard set of Lean/Problem Solving tools and analyses to:
- Develop insights and solutions
- Drive the consistent use of Lean standards in the delivery of Value Stream or Function
- Deliver performance objectives as stated in the charter (evaluation of meeting delivery and performance outcomes).
- Ensure accountability for the consistent and successful delivery of agreed Lean standards in initiatives.
- Guide training and problem-solving workshops for senior managers and teams.
- Coach senior leaders to be effective in their roles as sponsors while assisting leaders across all levels in understanding their responsibilities for sustaining continuous improvement, including their own management practices and routines.
- Collaborate with leaders and managers to provide:
- Continuous improvement updates
- Reporting to Senior Leadership
- Coach managers and teams on tools and techniques required to:
- Identify, prioritise and effectively capture tangible benefits
- Drive consistent use of Lean standards in the delivery of Value Streams or Functions.

Requirements & Skills
Skills / Competencies
- An attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality outputs.
- Self-driven, autonomous, with a strong results orientation.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to develop and present to senior leaders.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Proficient in data interpretation and performance measurement.
- Ability to handle changing priorities and exercise sound judgement in challenging situations.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining focus.
- Hands-on application of core Lean tools:
- Process mapping, data collection and analysis
- Root cause problem-solving
- Performance management frameworks
- Demonstrable proficiency in project and program management.
Qualifications
- Academic qualifications preferred, ideally a degree
- Relevant business improvement qualifications, e.g.:
- Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belt
- Lean Competency System
- Project or programme management qualifications, including:
- PRINCE2
- Scrum Master
- Agile Project Manager (PMI-ACP or similar)
Experience
- 5+ years as a Lean practitioner, with a track record of supporting change successfully.
- Industry experience in Financial Services and understanding of operational management practices.
- Direct experience in:
- Developing and implementing Lean/continuous improvement initiatives
- Proven experience as a qualified Lean/process improvement leader, preferably within an insurance or financial services context.
