About the Role
As a Process Operator at our Ferrero Alfreton site, you’ll play a key role in ensuring products flow smoothly through our production lines. From managing movements in our SAP production system to maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and efficiency, you’ll be at the heart of bringing Ferrero favourites to life.
This is a permanent role on an annualised hours contract, working currently on a rotating shift pattern of mornings (6am–2pm) and afternoons (2pm–10pm). Please be aware flexibility is important, as shift patterns may change in line with production needs.
Main Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be right at the centre of our production team. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll:
- Make sure our production lines always have the right materials in the right place, keeping everything flowing smoothly.
- Use our SAP system (don’t worry, we’ll train you fully) to track goods, record stock movements, and keep things up to date.
- Play your part in keeping our factory safe, clean, and running at its best — from food safety to environmental standards.
- Help spot any problems early and work with your team to find solutions.
- Take pride in producing the brands people love, knowing your work helps get Ferrero products into millions of homes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
