SDUK's brands include the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly, Wensleydale, and Sheese), functional ingredients and dairy free products.

This process operator position is one where you will gain experience of the making of dairy-free cheese, with your work going towards ensuring the production of quality product, both branded and private label (retailer own brands).

The role is one with real progression opportunities, where you can develop and progress your career.

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday 7am-4.40pm

YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…

  • Identifying and communicating opportunities to improve working methods.
  • Measuring, grading and feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery
  • Operating production line equipment
  • Reporting equipment faults to maintenance staff
  • Monitoring the production process and carrying out basic testing, quality checks, and recording results
  • Storing goods and raw materials in the factory or warehouse
  • Packing goods to be ready for shipment on pallets
  • Cleaning and maintaining work areas and machinery
  • Actively maintaining production records

YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE…

  • Knowledgeable with basic IT skills. e.g. ability to use a PC/HMI (with keyboard skills) with additional knowledge of Word and Excel an advantage
  • Efficient with problem solving skills
  • Able to communicate and work alone and as part of a team
  • Aware of basic food hygiene
