Key Responsibilities of a Process Operator
Operating within the heart of our manufacturing process, Process Operators ensure efficient production and quality control for all orders. This role requires shift work, including rotating day and night shifts.
Key duties include:
- Operating computerised manufacturing processes
- Monitoring raw material intake
- Handling warehouse duties, including operating a forklift truck
- Working with bulk bag and small bag lines
- Managing a bulk outloading system
- Loading lorries
- Performing product quality checks
- Maintaining mill hygiene standards
- Complying with all Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (QEHS) training and regulations
Job Requirements
Essential
✔ Education – Good standard (equivalent to GCSEs or higher). ✔ IT Skills – Must be comfortable with computers and ideally experienced with computerised production equipment. ✔ Communication – Ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders. ✔ Work Ethic – A reliable, positive attitude with a strong commitment to excellence.

Beneficial / Desired
🔹 Experience in an animal feed mill or agricultural background. 🔹 A mechanical background, particularly knowledge of bucket elevator & chain conveyor systems. 🔹 Forklift & backhoe licences (training provided if not held).
