ABOUT PEGASUS INTERNATIONAL
Pegasus International (UK) Ltd. is expanding its multidisciplinary LNG and infrastructure advisory team. We are seeking highly experienced professionals for immediate engagement on a major LNG Terminal Project covering feasibility, FEED, technical assurance, commercial and PPP advisory, environmental and social safeguards, procurement, project controls, and transaction execution.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Lead process-safety assurance and independent hazard studies for LNG unloading, storage, regasification, utilities, marine interfaces, and gas send-out systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and facilitate HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, bow-tie, and process-safety workshops.
- Review process-safety information, design basis, PFDs, P&IDs, cause-and-effect diagrams, and safety philosophies.
- Lead or review QRA, dispersion, thermal-radiation, explosion, occupied-building, and escape/evacuation analyses.
- Define safety-critical elements, performance standards, ALARP demonstrations, and action close-out requirements.
- Review ESD, fire and gas, HIPPS, depressurization, relief, vent, and flare philosophies.
- Ensure compliance with IEC 61511, NFPA 59A, EN 1473, and recognized CCPS/LNG practices.
- Support procurement requirements, technical bid evaluation, and safety assurance during design development.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, Safety, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Recognized HAZOP Leader certification and functional-safety qualification are strongly preferred.
- Chartered or Professional Engineer status is desirable.

- Minimum 12 years of process-safety experience, including at least 8 years in LNG, oil and gas, petrochemical, or cryogenic facilities.
- Demonstrated experience chairing major HAZOP/LOPA/SIL workshops.
- Experience with LNG-specific QRA, dispersion, thermal-radiation, and explosion studies.
- Strong knowledge of IEC 61511, IEC 61508, CCPS, NFPA 59A, and EN 1473.
- Experience with lender, regulator, or independent safety reviews is preferred.

WORK LOCATION AND MOBILITY
- Candidates must be willing to work from and support Pegasus offices and project assignments in the United Kingdom, Malaysia, and Bangladesh.
- International and domestic travel will be required for project meetings, site visits, workshops, technical reviews, and stakeholder consultations.
- Candidates must be able to obtain the necessary visas, security clearances, medical fitness, and work authorization; Pegasus will provide reasonable support subject to eligibility and applicable law.
