Process Standards Specialist
Hybrid: 80% homeworking, 20% at a regional office (Stratford-upon-Avon / Glasgow / York / Bristol)
About the Role
Join NFU Mutual in developing a newly created Customer Process Centre of Excellence, helping reshape customer service strategies and enterprise-wide collaboration while championing process excellence and customer-centric design.
As a Process Standards Specialist, you’ll contribute to methodology development, governance, and high-quality documentation, ensuring processes remain scalable, compliant, and aligned with regulatory and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and enhance NFU Mutual’s process design methodology, maintaining consistency and compliance.
- Promote process governance and best practices across the organisation, fostering standardisation and customer-centric principles.
- Coordinate documentation for governance forums (CoE Steering Committees) to ensure clarity, accuracy, and security compliance.
- Manage design tooling administration, user guidance, and version control for critical assets such as:
- Playbook
- GI Process Catalogue
- Taxonomy & naming conventions
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop training materials and monitor industry trends in process design.
- Collaborate on cross-platform integration standards and contribute to one-off projects as needed.

About You
- You’re detail-oriented, structured, and passionate about process excellence with experience in business administration or process documentation.
- Familiarity with process modelling tools and ability to translate complex processes into clear, accessible documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, coupled with a proactive mindset toward emerging methodologies.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-evolving team.
Desirable:
- Degree in Business Operations or a related field.
- Certification in Lean, Agile, or alternative process improvement frameworks.

Salary & Benefits
Compensation
- Salary: Up to £35,000 (dependent on experience).
- Annual bonus: Up to 10% of salary.
- Pension: Employer contribution (up to 20%), including your 8%.
- Leave: 25 days + bank holidays, with a buy/sell/holiday trade scheme.
