Bank Process Technician - Sterile Services
Location: Stoke HSSU Hub | Sterile Services Unit (ST5 7UF)
Job Type: Bank Contract | Part Time (Weekend Work & Midweek availability)
Salary: £12.84 per hour + 20% weekend enhancement

About the Role
The UK’s largest Healthcare Charity is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with relevant experience in sterile services to join their dynamic team. Our work ensures the proper sanitisation and supply of medical devices essential for high-quality healthcare—it starts with you.
As a Process Technician in our Stoke HSSU Hub, you’ll bring a basic standard of general education, strong literacy and numeracy skills, and proven organisational and communication abilities. Industry experience or formal sterile services training is highly advantageous.

- Dismantle, prepare, and sterilise medical instruments for theatre surgery.
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure a high standard of sanitation.
- Check medical devices regularly for damage and report defects promptly.
- Collaborate with a friendly, supportive team to uphold service excellence.
- Complete mandatory training as required.
- Be computer literate for record-keeping.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and hygienic working environment.
- Address and resolve operational challenges independently.
- Escalate issues to senior stakeholders where necessary.
- Keep detailed records and documentation per unit policies.
- Perform proper manual handling tasks (up to 13kg).
- Demonstrate metrous attention to detail for secure, high-quality outcomes.
Requirements
- Ongoing passion to deliver excellence in sterile services.
- A clean, practical record of health compliance.
- Foundation-level literacy and numeracy skills.
- Sterile services experience or related training (preferred).
- Strong teamwork and communication talent.
