About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Process Technician to join a leading manufacturing business operating within a manufacturing industry. This role is offered on a Panama shift pattern (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am, rotating days and nights).

Key Responsibilities of a Process Technician

  • Work collaboratively with the Process Manager and Shift Leader to maintain smooth production flow.
  • Quickly identify, fault-find, and resolve process, tooling, and machine issues with a solutions-focused approach.
  • Ensure minimal downtime by implementing effective problem-solving methods and escalating when required.
  • Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Take a hands-on role in the production environment while providing shift management support when necessary.
  • Lead by example in upholding Standards (SOPs, Health & Safety, Quality).
  • Participate in production meetings, shift handovers, and ensure all process personnel remain engaged with production requirements.
  • Carry out tool fitting/removal, colour changes, purging processes, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support trials and projects, documenting results clearly and effectively.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce scrap, waste, and unplanned stoppages through efficient methods of working.
  • Promote high standards of cleanliness and compliance with audit requirements.
  • Maintain flexibility in working approach to ensure production continuity.

Qualifications & Experience of a Process Technician

  • Good standard of education with strong numeracy skills.
  • Engineering qualification desirable; Polymer Injection Moulding Level I (working towards Level II) preferred.
  • Proven background in a manufacturing/production environment as a Process Setter or Process Technician.
  • Specialised knowledge in polymer injection moulding.
  • Basic PC literacy (Word, Excel, SAP, Barco or other production systems advantageous).
