We’re one of the world’s biggest dairy producers. Join our friendly Ingredients Team in production, and you'll contribute to making food that is loved by millions.

The Ingredients department at Arla Foods produces 18000 tons of permeate powder and 4000 tons of whey protein concentrate using membrane, evaporator and drying technology. Our customers use the products as ingredients in foods and dry blend products, and therefore have high demands for quality and food safety. Our raw material is based on whey, which comes from quality cheese production at Taw Valley Creamery.

Create the Future

…by ensuring that our products can be accurately delivered to our customers on time. You will be part of a high-performance team both delivering and supporting other functions to meet challenging team and personal goals. • Lead production & coach operators to ensure safety, quality and environment to achieve department KPIs.
  • Escalate any serious issues to the Production Team Leader or Production Manager.
  • Make decisions to resolve any day to day production issues.
  • Operate and monitor state-of-the-art processing equipment to produce demineralized ‘dry blend’ permeate powder and WPC60 to the required standards.
  • Work with engineering and other members of the team to reduce lost time due to breakdowns and ensure plant is made available for pre-planned maintenance and projects.
  • Use specialist knowledge to analyse processes and make suggestions for optimisation and improvements.
  • Actively contribute to problem solves, continuous improvement activities and CAPEX projects to drive the business forward.
  • Support the delivery of the Business Plan by active involvement in Business Plan Charters.
  • Cleaning/housekeeping to maintain a hygienic and food safe environment, as to be audit ready at all times.

  • Proactively maintain a safe working environment by raising near misses, risk observations, environmental observations and behavioral safety observations.
  • Contribute to completion of risk assessments and standard operating procedures.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
