The Opportunity:
As a Process Technologist, you’ll play a key role in turning innovative product concepts into scalable, commercially successful realities. Sitting at the heart of product delivery, you’ll ensure both new and existing products are manufactured safely, consistently and efficiently across our production network. Working cross-functionally with Innovation, Technical, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams, you’ll help lead process optimisation from factory trial through to full commercial launch. You’ll also play a key role supporting continuous improvement, troubleshooting production challenges and helping drive right-first-time manufacturing performance.
What your day might look like:
Product Development
- Acting as the technical link between Innovation and Manufacturing during NPD and EPD projects
- Translating formulation and product briefs into scalable manufacturing processes
- Assessing process feasibility, identifying risks and recommending process modifications
- Leading and documenting production trials from pilot through to full commercial scale
- Creating and updating SOPs, process parameters and equipment settings
Process Development & Optimisation
- Analysing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
- Supporting automation, machinery upgrades and technology integration projects
- Developing and validating process controls, CCPs and quality parameters
- Performing root-cause analysis and implementing CAPAs for process deviations
Technical Support & Problem Solving
- Providing hands-on support across mixing, blending, encapsulation, tabletting and sachet filling processes
- Troubleshooting equipment, material flow and in-process quality issues
- Working with Supplier Technical teams on raw material behaviour and technical specifications
Documentation & Compliance
- Producing manufacturing instructions, validation records and batch documentation
- Supporting HACCP, GMP, BRC, ISO and FSMS compliance requirements
- Supporting risk assessments, specification updates and change control processes
- Maintaining master data ownership and process documentation accuracy

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Working closely with Innovation, Technical, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams
- Supporting manufacturability, stability and product feasibility discussions
- Helping drive right-first-time production and strong commercial execution
- Supporting training and continuous improvement initiatives across operations
About You:
- Previous experience as a Process Technologist within food, beverage, FMCG, nutraceutical or sports nutrition manufacturing
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments
- Knowledge of processing equipment including mixers, blenders and fillers
- Understanding of HACCP, GMP, food safety and quality systems
- Experience supporting process optimisation, scale-up or continuous improvement projects
- Hands-on, practical and solutions-focused mindset
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capability
- Able to interpret technical data, production results and analytical reports
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Added Bonus If You Have:
- Experience within sports nutrition manufacturing
- Experience with powdered or blended product manufacturing
- Familiarity with stage-gate innovation processes
- LEAN, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodology experience
