About the Role
The Processing Data Administrator will collect, process, and analyse data pertaining to clients’ obligations under key regulations:
- Packaging (Packaging Waste Regulations 2007)
- WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006)
- Batteries Regulations (2019)
Working alongside Account Managers and Data Team Managers, your core responsibilities will include:
- Compiling and validating data for compliance calculations.
- Conducting client site visits to carry out weighing exercises.
- Engaging with suppliers and third parties to gather essential weight and quantity data.
- Collaborating across departments and ensuring seamless interaction with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Processing
- Use in-house software to input and analyse packaging weights for compliance submissions.
- Validate and clean data in the Environmental Product Information Centre (EPIC) database using MS Excel.
- Execute weighing exercises at client sites and within Valpak offices.
Regulatory Support
- Apply knowledge of packaging, WEEE, and batteries regulations.
- Provide training support and analysis to assist Account Managers in calculating submissions.
- Uphold Valpak’s ISO accreditation and Risk Management Policies.
Customer & Vendor Engagement
- Draft emails, letters, and reports for client and supplier communication.
- Offer telephone support to vendors on weighing and data collection tasks.
- Maintain high professionalism in customer communication.
Requirements
Skills & Attributes
✔ Must have strong Excel skills, including analysis, data manipulation and querying. ✔ Must demonstrate high accuracy, tactical precision, and attention to detail. ✔ Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. ✔ Must be self-directed and able to work well both independently and within a team.

Desirable but not mandatory:
- Experience in an office environment (telephone and email-based roles).
- Interest in environmental sustainability or compliance fields.
Qualifications
📜 Full UK Manual Driving Licence (preferred for client visits). 📚 Minimum qualifications:
- Grade C (4+) in Maths and English (GCSE/O-Level). 📚 Desirable qualifications:
- At least A-Level standard (or equivalent).
