Day Shift- Monday to Friday only
Job location: Newton Abbot, United Kingdom
Role: Processing Operative
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, day shift only
Rotating Shift pattern: 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £27,573.14 per annum + £1.918.80 Shift allowance

Job Summary
This role is responsible for safely and efficiently operating production equipment including shredding, blending and milling plant, along with mobile plant. The role involves operating a front-end loader for the majority of the shift, with regular requirements to step on and off the machine to carry out equipment checks, inspections and general production support tasks. You will help ensure production targets are achieved, maintain high housekeeping standards and collaborate effectively with the production and maintenance teams.
The job role
Operate shredding and blending equipment safely. Operate the front-end loader for the majority of the shift while completing regular equipment and process checks. Complete pre-shift inspections and operate mobile plant (FLT training provided). Perform level-one maintenance and report equipment defects. Maintain housekeeping standards. Meet production deadlines and ensure product quality. Follow all HSE protocols and report incidents promptly. Support continuous improvement initiatives.

About You
You are a reliable, safety-focused operative with hands-on industrial experience, confident operating loading shovels and plant equipment. You work well independently, maintain excellent housekeeping standards and contribute to a safe, efficient production environment.
You will have
Valid loading shovel license Valid driving license Good numeracy, literacy and IT competence Understanding of health, safety and environmental protocols Industrial experience is preferred Safety-focused with strong communication skills
