Procurement Administrator – Leeds – Tetra Tech

Tetra Tech has an exciting Procurement Administrator opportunity to join a collaborative team, where your support will help keep projects, suppliers, and internal stakeholders progressing smoothly and efficiently.


Purpose & Scope of the Role

As Procurement Administrator, you will provide proactive, reliable, and professional support to the Procurement team in Leeds. Working closely with the Assistant Buyer, Buyer, Procurement Manager, and Head of Procurement and Property, you will be the first point of contact for procurement enquiries and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of day-to-day procurement activities.


Your Impact in This Position

  • Manage purchase orders, daily requisitions, and supplier requests, ensuring information is processed accurately and on time.
  • Support sourcing activity, tender and quotation administration, supplier onboarding, and PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires) processes.
  • Handle approvals for stationery, PPE, travel, and accommodation.
  • Build strong working relationships across the business to resolve procurement queries efficiently.

Core Capabilities

  • Procurement Administration – Support a broad range of procurement processes, focusing on accuracy, responsiveness, and strong customer service for internal stakeholders.
  • Purchase Order & Requisition Management – Process orders, update amendments, and communicate clearly with stakeholders to avoid errors.
  • Supplier Engagement – Liaise directly with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, documentation, and service updates, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Data, Systems & Records Management – Maintain electronic files, databases, and supplier/PQQ records with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Collaboration & Initiative – Work effectively cross-functionally, prioritise tasks efficiently, and ownership of routine queries and tasks without direct supervision.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

Essential Skills & Knowledge

✔ Strong computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software packages. ✔ General experience in office administration (preferably within procurement, logistics, or financial environments). ✔ Good understanding of procurement policies and procedures. ✔ Ability to interpret data, prioritise work within guideline deadlines, and deliver results effectively. ✔ Confidence in working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. ✔ Strong communication skills for engaging with internal customers and external suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications & Development

📚 A relevant A Level, HNC, or equivalent is advantageous. 📚 Part-qualified candidates or those working towards a professional qualification (e.g., CIPS, other relevant procurement certifications) are warmly welcomed.
