About the Role
As a Procurement Assistant, you will support the delivery of Ipsum’s procurement strategy and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day procurement activities. This is a hands-on position offering exposure to a wide range of tasks including sourcing materials, coordinating logistics, and supporting supplier relationships.

Working closely with the Procurement Specialist and internal stakeholders, you will ensure materials, plant, and equipment are sourced efficiently and aligned with operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting reactive and planned procurement activities
- Sourcing, ordering, and tracking materials, plant, and equipment
- Liaising with internal teams to understand procurement requirements and timelines
- Obtaining and comparing supplier quotations to drive cost-effective decisions
- Coordinating logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Maintaining accurate procurement records, trackers, and reporting data
- Supporting supplier relationships and performance monitoring
- Assisting with cost control initiatives and procurement process improvements
- Responding to stakeholder queries and supporting wider procurement administration
About You
You will bring experience from a procurement, buying, or supply chain support environment and be confident working in a fast-paced setting.
Requirements
You will have:
- Experience in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support role
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Understanding of procurement processes and supplier coordination
- Experience raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
