We are currently partnering with a Not-for-Profit organisation based in Portishead on their search for a Procurement Business Partner.
This is a permanent position, and the salary will be £42,500 and requirement to travel to the office is flexible, around 2 – 3 days per week depending on business needs.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record delivering procurement in a public sector organisation with a sound understanding of and experience working under PCR2015 / PA23 and will ideally be CIPS qualified, however this requirement is flexible.
Duties
- Assisting the Procurement Manager to deliver a Procurement Strategy across the Group to deliver the target benefits and financial savings
- Supporting stakeholders to conduct procurement exercises – working with responsible colleagues to develop tender briefs, issue tenders and obtain provider responses
- Supporting with the creation and maintenance of guidance documents, policies and templates for use across the organisation and procurement activities
- Helping manage a Contract Register for the Group, including a formal plan for all tendering activities
- Ensuring all goods and services purchased comply with procurement regulations (PCR2015 and PA2023), the Group Standing Orders and Financial Regulations, and all relevant corporate social sustainability policies
- Identifying upcoming procurement needs and planning procurement activity as required
- Directly managing and providing advice on best practice to colleagues on smaller scale procurements
- Supporting colleagues through annual contract price adjustments with suppliers
- Producing reports on performance and providing comprehensive management information and analysis when requested including spend analysis, savings secured and potential savings for forecast and budgets

Skills, knowledge and expertise required
- CIPS qualified (desirable)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in a public sector environment, adhering to PCR2015 / PA23

Working hours
