About the Role

Mistral is hiring a Procurement Category Manager (IT and Data) to drive cost savings across indirect spend. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape and execute procurement strategies for one of the world’s most influential AI leaders.

You will lead the IT & Data categories, including:

  • Data acquisition
  • SaaS licensing
  • Tooling and procurement

Collaborating with internal stakeholders, you’ll:

  • Rationalize contracts
  • Renegotiate agreements
  • Implement processes to reduce cost and complexity

This high-impact role offers significant strategic visibility and will directly influence Mistral’s growth and operational efficiency.


Your Responsibilities

  • Lead global negotiations on indirect spend to maximize savings
  • Define and deploy procurement strategies for Human Data & IT
  • Identify, assess, and manage existing contracts, tools, and business needs
  • Supervise renewals and contract renegotiations
  • Build and maintain supplier panels, reducing complexity and improving governance
  • Streamline tool usage and align internal needs with business stakeholders
  • Oversee full procure-to-pay (P2P) projects, from RFP to contractualization
  • Advance procurement digitization through P2P tool adoption
  • Develop strong supplier relationships and advocate internally for optimized procurement

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Buyer/Category Manager, with a preference for IT, SaaS, or data-centric categories
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with large, global providers in competitive markets
  • Proven skills in managing multiple projects while aligning diverse stakeholders
  • Strong communication and assertiveness to drive maximum value in deals, balance pushback, and build trust
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments and clear lift strength
