The Role
As Procurement Finance Director (Strategic Business Partner), you’ll bridge the gap between technology ambition and commercial excellence, ensuring Intact Insurance delivers value, resilience, and innovation across its technology estate.
Your Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as the primary procurement liaison for senior technology leaders, fostering trusted relationships and providing commercial expertise to influence critical investment decisions.
- Align procurement strategy with business priorities, demand plans, and regulatory expectations—ensuring clear outcomes, improved resilience, and maximum supplier value.

Sourcing & Category Strategy
- Develop and evolve category strategies that balance cost, risk, and innovation—maximising return on investment while managing dependencies.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, defining routes to market and commercial models that mitigate risk and optimise supplier performance.

Demand & Spend Optimisation
- Leverage spend data and market insights to identify redundancies, refine processes, and drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct cost savings and avoidance analyses, translatingći data into actionable strategies that reduce complexity and enhance resilience.

Supplier Relationships & Governance
- Own and strengthen strategic supplier partnerships, applying structured governance, KPIs, and performance feedback loops.
- Ensure financial transparency with Finance partners, delivering clear reporting on savings, cost avoidance, and innovation outcomes.

Added Value & Continuous Improvement
- Build and maintain a pyramid of value—delivering savings, cost-efficiency, and innovation projects at scale.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Proven expertise in partnering with senior stakeholders to drive commercial decisions and investment outcomes (especially in technology, procurement, or finance fields).
- Deep hands-on experience in technology procurement, sourcing, and supplier management within complex, enterprise-scale environments.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic category plans that balance cost efficiency, risk management, and innovation—ensuring ROI on investments.
- Strong understanding of supplier risk, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience in IT & procurement contexts.
- Leadership experience in managing strategic supplier relationships and fostering long-term partnerships through structured governance.
- Proficiency in data-driven decision-making, using market insights and spend analytics to extract value and identify opportunities.
