Procurement & Commercial Support Manager

Tradebe is a group of industrial businesses committed to creating a more sustainable planet and making significant contributions to human wellbeing. In the UK, we lead the way in recycling, energy recovery, and circular economy, managing environmental liabilities sustainably.

About the Role

Position Title

Procurement & Commercial Support Manager

As Procurement & Commercial Support Manager, you’ll drive impact by improving supplier governance, commercial control, and cost transparency across site operations, maintenance activity, and shutdown-related work.

You’ll collaborate closely with site leadership, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and SHEQ to ensure all supplier decisions are commercially sound, risk-aware, and well-documented, while keeping processes practical for a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead site-level supplier governance, reviewing performance, capability, compliance, risk assessment, and value.
  • Support supplier negotiations, framework agreements, benchmarking, and alternative sourcing whilst ensuring proactive risk-based decision making.
  • Evaluate and challenge scopes, quotations, rate structures, labour hours, material charges, variations, and invoices.
  • Provide procurement and commercial support for shutdowns, major maintenance activity, and high-value operational work.
  • Introduce practical procurement processes, including:
    • Approval routes
    • Quote evaluations
    • Change records
    • Supplier performance measures
  • Drive continuous improvement while ensuring procurement supports—rather than hinders—site operations’ productivity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
