Citrus Recruit are partnering with a world-leading specialty insurance organisation to recruit a Procurement Excellence and Data Lead. This is a high-impact role sitting at the centre of procurement transformation, data, and operational strategy.
This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking Procurement function where innovation, efficiency, and insight are key. You’ll play a critical role in shaping how procurement operates — enhancing processes, driving automation, and turning data into meaningful business insight.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, technology teams, and suppliers, you’ll act as a Procurement Analyst, Process Leader, and Data Specialist combined — championing smarter ways of working and helping the organisation unlock greater value from its supply chain.
Responsibilities & day to day duties Key responsibilities for a Procurement Excellence include: Improve procurement engagement with promotion of procurement services across internal stakeholders Develop and deliver procurement training, playbooks, and engagement sessions (e.g. Lunch & Learns) Lead Procurement demand management and workflow orchestration, managing pipeline visibility and prioritisation Review and set system implementations and be an advance user, understand system limitations and create better working practices for the user Own the creation of spend, supplier risk, and operational reporting packs for senior stakeholders Act as the Subject Matter Expert for Source-to-Contract (S2C) processes, advising stakeholders on best practice and governance Identify and drive automation and digitisation opportunities, including self-service models

Skills & experience required A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with strong attention to detail Proven ability in stakeholder engagement through your data analysis, reporting, and insight generation Demonstrable track record in process mapping, redesign, and continuous improvement Experience driving automation, digitisation, or procurement transformation initiatives Ability to translate complex frameworks into clear, actionable outputs Familiarity with emerging technologies
