We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Logistics Manager to lead and optimise our end-to-end supply chain operations at Cathelco Limited. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving procurement strategy, inventory management, logistics performance, supplier relationships, and import/export compliance, ensuring the business consistently meets its operational, financial, and customer delivery objectives.
Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate supply chain risks, and support business growth. You will also lead and develop the Supply Chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and serving as a member of the Senior Management Team, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies that support the company's financial, operational and growth objectives.
- Establish sourcing, supplier risk management and business continuity plans to ensure security of supply.
- Lead major supplier selection exercises, contract negotiations and long-term supply agreements.
- Partner with executive leadership to align procurement and supply chain activities with forecast demand and business objectives.
- Collaborate with EVAC Group functional leaders to implement supply chain initiatives, processes and best practices.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve service levels.

Procurement & Supplier Management
- Manage procurement activities for all equipment, materials, components and services to ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are achieved.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, driving performance, innovation and value creation.
- Negotiate commercial agreements that deliver competitive pricing, favourable terms and reduced business risk.
- Monitor supplier performance through agreed KPIs, including quality, cost, responsiveness and On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve supply chain challenges and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure ethical sourcing practices are maintained in line with the EVAC Code of Ethics.
Logistics & Inventory Management
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimise stock levels, improve availability and reduce working capital.
- Drive improvements in forecasting, lead time reduction and inventory accuracy across the business.
- Oversee transportation, shipping and warehouse activities to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods.
- Ensure import and export activities comply with all relevant legislation, regulations and trade requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce operational risk and enhance customer service.
Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead, coach and develop the Supply Chain team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Set clear objectives and performance expectations for team members and support their professional development.
- Monitor and report key supply chain metrics, ensuring robust performance management processes are in place.
- Prepare and present regular operational and strategic performance updates to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the level and scope of the role.

Key Requirements
Core experience, knowledge, and education:
- Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or Engineering (MCIPS qualification heavily preferred), paired with 7–10 years of strategic sourcing experience, including at least 3 years managing direct reports and overseeing overseas supply chains.
Technical/functional skills:
- Mastery of global supply chain logistics, international trade terms (Incoterms 2020), import/export regulations, and enterprise ERP governance.
Critical soft skills:
- Visionary strategic thinking, high-stakes cross-cultural negotiation, emotional intelligence, and a proven track record of mentoring and coaching direct reports.
Potential leadership or management skills:
- Proven capability to lead cross-functional transformation projects, manage remote/global vendor bases, and develop talent pipelines within the procurement function.
Knowledge of Evac, Cathelco, HEM and Transvac technologies is advantageous.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong negotiation skills, particularly suited to high-value and complex projects.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong numerical and analytical ability.
Progression
This role is one of the senior leaders on site at Cathelco limited. The role is a full time role. Career progression potential into EVAC group or other business areas such as commercial / defence areas of the Cathelco business.
