About the Role

As a Procurement Specialist, you’ll sit at the heart of Prolo’s operation, reporting into the Procurement director to ensure our customers always get the best value.


Responsibilities

  • Finding, negotiating, and securing the best material prices in the market
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term supplier relationships
  • Supporting our AI-led procurement engine with accurate, high-quality data
  • Processing customer orders via email, text, WhatsApp, and phone
  • Improving procurement workflows as we scale
  • Spotting trends and opportunities in pricing, availability, and suppliers
  • Helping shape how procurement works at Prolo from the ground up

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in procurement within the construction or building materials sector

Required Skills

  • Strong negotiation skills and a commercially sharp mindset
  • Ability to evaluate suppliers and identify outstanding value
  • Confident using digital tools and modern technology
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple orders and suppliers
