Procurement Manager
Location: Hybrid (based in Nuneaton, 3 days/week)
At PROPER SNACKS, we’re looking for a Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting our growth and innovation. You will lead the commercial management of our contract manufacturing base while ensuring our New Product Development (NPD) pipeline is underpinned by robust supplier strategy, competitive pricing, and supply resilience.
By driving margin efficiency, speed-to-market, and a stronger supply chain, you will help continue our scaling journey.

The Role
This Procurement Manager position will:
- Lead and oversee contract manufacturing partners to achieve strong commercial outcomes
- Strengthen supplier performance and supply chain resilience across all new product launches
- Collaborate closely with NPD, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely and effective transitions
- Proactively support innovation by identifying new supplier opportunities

This role supports both cost management and speed-to-market, ensuring sustainability as PROPER SNACKS grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage relationships with contract manufacturers across the supply base
- Develop and implement structured supplier relationship strategies including performance scorecards
- Lead supplier sourcing, selection, negotiation and onboarding for all NPD activities
- Work closely with teams to support effective new product launches
- Conduct commercial due diligence to ensure competitive pricing, robust selection, and cost efficiency
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify risks and opportunities
- Assess contract manufacturing capacities and adapt to evolving industry needs
- Identify and develop dual sourcing strategies to mitigate single-source dependencies
- Proactively deliver cost savings, value engineering initiatives, and margin improvements
- Engage in supply chain capacity planning and forecasting with manufacturing partners
Requirements
- Proven experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or Supply Chain, preferably within FMCG
- Experience in managing contract manufacturers or external production partners
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of impactful negotiation
- A background in supporting new product development or innovation pipelines
- Ability to build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- An analytical mindset with clear insight into data interpretation and market trends
