Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will oversee the attractive procurement activities—both direct and indirect—while supporting strategic initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, cost management, and business growth.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, develop, and mentor the Procurement Team, establishing clear performance objectives and tailored skill development plans.
- Ensure alignment with group procurement processes and policies.
Supplier & Contractor Management
- Define and oversee the procurement of a predefined list of local suppliers, covering sourcing, negotiations, and onboarding.
- Negotiate and enforce supplier framework agreements to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuity.
- Maintain supplier performance compliance, ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and delivery KPIs.

Procurement Strategy & Performance
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that drive business value while adhering to contractual obligations.
- Achieve and surpass annual cost savings targets and improve supplier payment terms.
- Utilise Material Requirements Planning (MRP)—raising purchase orders and managing exception messages—to optimise inventory levels efficiently.
Supply Operations & Reporting
- Align procurement activities with the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process.
- Monitor raw material and component availability, ensuring economic stock levels and inventory KPI tracking.
- Generate detailed statistical reports on spend, cost savings, cash conversion rates, contract progress, and performance metrics.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this high-impact role, you will have:
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Proven experience in procurement leadership, demonstrating strong commercial negotiation and contractual management skills.
- Technical insight into manufacturing and engineering operations.
- A track record of meeting/achieving cost savings and performance targets.
- Fluency in MS Office/Excel tools, with an ability to utilise procurement software platforms.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and persuasive skills to influence stakeholders across the business.
- A valid UK driving licence (required for hybrid office-based role based in Horncastle, Lincolnshire).

Notice: The full-time, hybrid-position is based in Horncastle, with flexibility to align with local supplier/factory operations. Remote flexibility will be determined based on specific needs and coinciding with Genuit’s regional priorities.
