About The Role
We're looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the day-to-day procurement activity of the site operation. The successful applicant will be expediting purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers and distributors, striving for commercially advantageous positions while devising a complete effective procurement strategy.

What You'll Be Doing
- Managing procurement for the site operation, becoming the key interface with the individual operational team leads
- Supporting the Commercial Team with the monthly reviewing of supplier applications
- Creating requisitions and receipting orders through the SAP system
- Identifying, evaluating, qualifying and developing the supply chain to meet the current and changing business
- Managing and monitoring supplier performance across various KPIs
- Identifying cost-saving and value-adding opportunities throughout the supply chain
- Assisting with client audits on purchasing
- Providing cost advice to the client and team
- Coordinating with the Commercial Team to find areas for cost saving or increased efficiency
- Ensuring all procurement documentation are up to date, current and in accordance with good practice, including a review of previous documentation.

What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in a procurement or supply chain role, experience within the construction industry would be advantageous
- A high standard of procurement and supply chain management ability
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong administrative/co-ordination experience within a fast-paced, environment dealing with multiple and complex administrative processes
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- A natural ability to build relationships quickly, with strong written and verbal communications
- Excellent IT capabilities spanning MS Office (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel), internet searching and capacity to swiftly pick up bespoke IT systems and tools
- CITB HS&E Managers and Professionals certificate is essential
- A working knowledge of SAP would be desirable, but is not essential.

Site Requirements
This role is based on Hinkley Point C and requires:
- Ability to provide a 3‑year work/education/unemployment history for vetting
- Ability to obtain an HPC site pass
- Willingness to travel via a bus journey of approximately 45‑minute to/from site.
