Procurement Manager
Procurement Manager
Locations: Uxbridge | Leicester | Solihull
As the Procurement Manager at Galliford Try, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and managing group-wide procurement frameworks for key spend areas. Collaborating closely with the Procurement and Supply Chain Team, you’ll build strategic relationships across the business to optimise budgets, leverage Galliford Try’s scale, and drive sustainable growth through an aligned, high-performance supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement trading agreements (both material/plant and indirect) to maximise cost efficiency across the business.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure agreements align with project and operational needs.
- Negotiate and manage contracts that reflect Galliford Try’s market positioning, ensuring compliance with internal processes.
- Monitor and reduce supply chain spend leakage, directing business activity to preferred suppliers.
- Liaise with key business experts to integrate sustainability (e.g., low-carbon construction), quality, and innovation initiatives.
- Promote "Be Well" and company values, forming strong relationships with external suppliers and internal teams.
- Drive digital procurement progress—e.g., setting up self-service platforms and analytics (e.g., PowerBI) for streamlined workflows.
- Establish procurement best practices, host workshops/buy forums, and capture lessons for future projects.

About You
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven expertise in procurement strategy development, negotiation, and trading agreements.
- Responsive to project deadlines with strong analytical and risk-management ability.
- Strong communication for internal collaboration and external stakeholder relations.
- Experience with construction-related procurement (direct and indirect spend) is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerBI, Outlook) and ITT tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIPS) or commitment to pursue one. -لےriority in project procurement (quality, H&S, sustainability).
- Flexibility (flexi/hybrid/work models encouraged).
