Hard FM Procurement Manager

We have a great opportunity for a Hard FM Procurement Manager to join our team and be accountable for developing and executing category strategies across Property FM, Corporate Services, and any other categories in the plan for the next 6-12 months. Your focus will be on delivering optimum value, cost savings, and risk mitigation, while ensuring quality and exceptional customer service across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will act as the Hard FM category expert, providing commercial leadership for the procurement of goods and services within your designated categories.
  • Promote a consistent and professional approach to all sourcing activity through structured, cross-functional working practices, while building strong supplier relationships and guiding stakeholders through the full end-to-end sourcing process, including:
    • Developing tailored sourcing strategies for each category.
    • Business intelligence and spend analytics.
    • Managing full tender processes, including bid evaluations, shortlisting, and commercial negotiations.
    • Drafting contracts and supporting budget holders with the mobilisation and implementation of new agreements.
    • Measuring and managing supplier performance.
    • Continuously identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and increase efficiency.
  • Help provide reports and updates to senior leaders, while supporting budget holders in the effective use of procurement tools, templates, and tender processes.
  • Lead Cost Transformation Programme initiatives within your areas of category expertise.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships, secure stakeholder engagement and sponsorship, and help deliver an exceptional procurement, contract, and supplier management service across the business.

Location

You’ll be based in our award-winning London office for three days a week, giving you plenty of opportunity to build key stakeholder and site relationships and be part of the team, while still benefiting from the flexibility of hybrid working. Our office is conveniently located near Cannon Street, London Bridge, and Monument stations.

Requirements

  • Extensive and proven category management experience sourcing and managing a broad range of property services categories within a construction, FM, or real estate environment.
  • A strong technical and commercial understanding of relevant categories.
  • Technical expertise in building management systems and M&E services.
  • Knowledge of construction industry contracting mechanisms, including Framework Agreements, JCT, and NEC contracts.
  • Extensive knowledge of the UK supply market within the relevant categories.
  • A proven track record of delivering savings in complex, multi-stakeholder, or matrix environments.
  • The ability to formulate, negotiate, and draft complex service contracts, including detailed Service Level Agreements.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement methodologies, tendering processes, and contract management principles.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to balance detail with the bigger picture.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills to lead a wide range of stakeholders through procurement exercises and tender processes, while managing competing priorities and delivering to deadlines.
