About the Role & Purpose

As a Procurement Manager (GRF12) in the Technology & Telco Procurement team, you will:
- Drive sustainability by negotiating responsible supplier agreements, applying best practices to improve services, and leading sustainability-aligned projects.
- Solve complex procurement challenges with innovative solutions.
- Mentor junior staff and ensure decisions align with our values of trust and innovation.
Operating within a small, collaborative team, you will work closely under the Technology & Telco Team Category Lead in the UK Procurement team, as part of the wider European Procurement function, to deliver value across software & hardware categories.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end procurement processes independently.
- Conducting complex negotiations for framework agreements and customer term flowdowns, collaborating with Legal & Commercial teams for compliant agreements.
- Supporting bid activities, acting as a strategic business partner with category and commercial expertise.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities, spend consolidation actions, and new market/supplier opportunities.
- Assessing supplier financial health for compliance checks.
- Ensuring robust market knowledge and adherence to UK regulatory requirements.
- Working critically for supplier engagements and stakeholder management, including travel.

Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate and manage:
- Framework agreements
- Order Schedules
- Downstream customer terms
- Secure best value through competitive tenders and negotiation.
- Deliver tangible cost-saving opportunities across telco/tech spend.
- Apply deep knowledge of:
- Telecommunications markets
- Emerging technologies
- SaaS agreements
- UK regulatory frameworks
- Collaborate with Legal & Commercial teams to ensure compliance and risk management.
Mandatory Requirements
- Excellent procurement experience, preferably in the Telco industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in SaaS contracts.
- Security clearance (SC level or higher) achieved or in process.
- Contracting & Commercial Manager qualifications (CIPS preferred, or willingness toComplete Advanced Contracting & Commercial Management training).
Desirable Experience
- Experience in project management, particularly within complex environments.
- Stakeholder management & relationship-building skills.
- Advanced negotiation & strategic influencing capability.
- Analytical & problem-solving mindset.
