Procurement Manager

National (3/4 days a month in either the Bristol or Coventry Office)

Talented people are the key to our success.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Procurement Manager to join our Water, Aviation and Highways team. The role will primarily support the delivery of major water infrastructure projects, with some involvement across defence projects.

You will take ownership of end-to-end procurement activities, leading the procurement of subcontract packages and heavy materials across both live projects and tender activities. Working closely with commercial, operational and project teams, you will ensure procurement strategies deliver best value, mitigate risk and support successful project delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced infrastructure environment and wants to play a key role in delivering complex, high-value projects.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end procurement of subcontract packages, from market engagement through to contract award and supplier performance management.
  • Manage the procurement of heavy materials, ensuring value for money, quality and programme requirements are achieved.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that support project and business objectives.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Manage procurement activities in accordance with NEC contract requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to drive performance, innovation and long-term value.
  • Work collaboratively with commercial, operational and project teams to ensure procurement activities align with project programmes.
  • Support work-winning activities through tender enquiries, supplier engagement and market intelligence.
  • Monitor supply chain performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost efficiencies.
  • Ensure procurement activities are delivered in line with company governance, compliance requirements and industry best practice.
  • Champion sustainable procurement and support responsible supply chain delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
