Procurement Manager – Fine Jewellery Brand
Procurement Manager
Mode Search is supporting a luxury goods client in the search for a full-time Procurement Manager to join their production and operations function in London (five days per week). This role is crucial in managing raw materials and specialist inventory to ensure smooth product flow, stock accuracy, quality standards, supplier relationships, and operational efficiency.
The role reports directly to the Head of Production and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders across production, procurement, stock control, finance, as well as external supplier networks.
Key Responsibilities

Inventory and Supply Chain Management
- Manage the intake, booking, and recording of incoming raw materials and specialist inventory.
- Ensure accurate stock updates within agreed timeframes.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee stock movements for full traceability and compliance.
- Investigate discrepancies and reconcile stock levels with production and stock teams.

Supplier and Logistics Coordination
- Partner with suppliers to discuss material availability, lead times, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Raise purchase orders and process supplier documentation.
- Liaise with logistics providers to ensure efficient handling, timely delivery, and minimal disruption.
- Monitor shipments and provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders.

Process and Quality Assurance
- Conduct quality checks on incoming materials to verify specifications and standards compliance.
- Organise and categorise inventory by value, specification, and production requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of stock movements, processing activities, certifications, and returns.
- Process invoices for suppliers, external service providers, and inventory activity.

Financial and Reporting Support
- Support finance teams with payment processes, reconciliations, and budget alignment.
- Assist with sourcing activity and secure strategic sourcing decisions for production demands.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, shortages, operational updates, and pricing variances.

Collaboration and Improvement Initiatives
- Provide administrative and operational support to procurement and production teams as required.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and process improvement activities across the organisation.

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement administration, stock control, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Previous experience in luxury, high-value goods, manufacturing, jewellery, or premium products is desirable.
- A degree qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is preferred.

Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for interactions with suppliers and internal teams.
- High attention to detail with proficiency in record-keeping, data management, and accuracy.
- Confident in using procurement systems, ERP platforms, Excel, and reporting tools.
- Additional language skills would be advantageous.
- Understanding of quality assurance processes, inventory control, and pricing principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with commercial acumen for sourcing and procurement decisions.
