Job Overview

Responsible for managing procurement activities across frozen and fresh food categories, while building and optimising procurement processes and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the UK food market, supplier resources, commercial negotiation skills, and the ability to drive cost optimisation and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take charge of end-to-end procurement management for frozen and fresh food categories, and establish procurement processes and supply chain systems.
  • Source and maintain high-quality supplier resources, conduct supplier development and commercial negotiations, and ensure stable supply with competitive costs.
  • Develop category sourcing strategies and procurement plans, managing costs, inventory, and product quality to support business growth.
  • Monitor market trends, supplier performance, pricing changes, and product opportunities to continuously optimise procurement decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance to ensure efficient procurement execution and supply chain coordination.
  • Lead the establishment and management of the procurement team as the business continues to scale.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business, Marketing, or related fields are preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in frozen food, fresh food, FMCG, grocery, or related categories, with strong understanding of the food supply chain and supplier network.
  • Strong supplier resources and proven experience in supplier sourcing, business development, and commercial negotiations.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in cost control, inventory management, and procurement optimisation.
  • Strong market insight, product development capability, adaptability, and independent working ability.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial, legal, and financial principles is preferred.
  • Hands-on and self-motivated working style; comfortable with building business processes from zero to one, able to work under pressure, with potential for future team management.
