Procurement Manager - Coffee
We are working with a Coffee Manufacturer who is seeking an experienced Procurement & Sustainability Manager to lead the sourcing of coffee, cocoa and related raw materials, while driving sustainability initiatives across the business. This role combines strategic procurement, supplier management, market analysis and environmental leadership to ensure a resilient, cost-effective and responsible supply chain.
Location: Dunstable, Bedfordshire - 3 days per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement of coffee, cocoa and related commodities, ensuring quality, cost and supply continuity.
- Lead supplier negotiations, contract management and purchase-to-pay processes.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including performance reviews and contingency planning.
- Analyse commodity markets, demand forecasts and inventory levels to support procurement strategy and cost optimisation.
- Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities and procurement process improvements.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Operations and Supply Chain teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Develop and implement sustainability plans, targets and action programmes.
- Lead environmental and sustainability reporting, compliance and certification activities.
- Work cross-functionally to reduce environmental impact and support ESG objectives.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a Procurement Manager or Senior Buyer role, ideally within coffee, tea, cocoa, food manufacturing or another commodity-based industry.
- Strong commercial, negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Experience managing significant procurement spend and sourcing strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and translate insights into action.
- Experience presenting procurement and sustainability information to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and environmental management systems, including ESG, ISO14001 and EcoVadis.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent planning, organisation and project management skills.

Desirable:
- Experience within the coffee industry or wider beverage sector.
- Degree-level education in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sustainability or a related field.
- Knowledge of environmental reporting and compliance requirements, including Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
Up to £70,000 + company car + bonus + benefits
