Procurement Manager - Operational Goods & Services (Indirects)
Why Deliveroo?
When you first think about Deliveroo, you probably think of getting great food to your house in less than half an hour. But behind the scenes is the story. This story is one of high growth, huge challenges and an enormous opportunity ahead of us.
We want to be the definitive food company – the app you go to any time you have a hunger pang. We are transforming the way people think about food. We are providing people with limitless access to different cuisines and restaurants, turning cooking from a chore to a choice, and giving people the freedom to eat what they want, when they want, where they want it.
About the Role
Procurement’s role is to support Deliveroo in the delivery of increased profit and growth through a well-managed and sustainable supplier base.
Reporting to the Head of Category, the role of Procurement Manager offers a rare opportunity to be a part of one of the fastest growing tech startups at a very exciting stage. You’ll be joining a team in early stages of maturity with big ambitions, already responsible for circa £650m of spend, and tasked with an ** Exec sponsored ‘Cost Out’ initiative** in 2026/27. Our Procurement team operates on a hybrid model, meaning you’ll be required to come into the office twice a week. Our office is located in London, specifically on Cannon Street.
Responsibilities
This is a Global role, operating from London HQ, and will involve multiple activities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to deliver value, cost savings, and operational efficiencies. Align these with broader business objectives to support Deliveroo’s growth and profitability.
- Manage key supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts to secure optimal terms. Drive continuous improvement and value creation through effective supplier performance management.
- Conduct supplier risk assessments, manage third-party risk, and develop mitigation strategies to protect Deliveroo from supply chain disruptions, financial instability, or regulatory issues.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including:
- Competitive bidding
- RFP/RFI processes
- Supplier selection based on robust evaluation criteria, such as cost, quality, risk, and innovation potential
- Establish and monitor supplier KPIs and SLAs, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement. Collaborate with suppliers to spot innovation and performance enhancements.
- Engage with internal stakeholders (such as Finance, Operations, Legal, and IT) to ensure alignment of procurement activities with broader business objectives.
- Negotiate, manage, and ensure contract compliance, full contract lifecycle management from inception to renewal or termination.
- Support ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and sustainability initiatives by identifying sustainable procurement opportunities and promoting ethical sourcing.
- Identify procurement process improvements to drive efficiencies and leverage technology and digital tools for sourcing, risk management, and contract management.
- Analyse spend data, market trends, and supplier performance to inform procurement decisions. Provide regular reports on cost savings, supplier performance, and risk management.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
