Procurement Manager Leonardo UK – GCAP Sector (Edinburgh)
Salary Range
£70,000–£78,000
Leonardo UK operates within grade-based salary bands, and this range reflects the approved band for this role. External market benchmarks and internal equity will be respected. Exceptional cases may be managed under governance controls.
Your Impact
An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen within Leonardo’s Procurement and Commercial team based in Edinburgh (GCAP sector) as a Procurement Manager.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals, driving strategic added value across the entire product lifecycle—from New Product Introduction (NPI) to full-rate production.
- Shape and strengthen supply chain capability, enhancing supplier performance, negotiating commercial agreements, and ensuring capacity alignment with programme delivery.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver business objectives through procurement strategies, commercial excellence, and supply chain resilience.
- Report to the Senior Procurement Manager (GCAP) while driving execution of high-impact, complex programmes.

What You’ll Bring
Essential Experience
- Leadership capability in procurement/supply chain, including team development and performance motivation.
- Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, contract management, and commercial negotiations—particularly within complex manufacturing/engineering environments.
- Sector-specific experience in Aerospace & Defence.
- NPI/lifecycle programme support, supplier performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Soft & Behavioural Skills
- Exceptional stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and influence/collaboration at all organisational levels.

Security Clearance
- Pre-employment screening required under the UK Government’s BPSS standard.
