Procurement Officer | £35,000 – £40,000 | Leeds | Hybrid (50/50)

ALF Recruit is delighted to be partnering with a growing, values-led organisation on the outskirts of Leeds to recruit a Procurement Officer into a newly developing procurement function. This is a genuine opportunity to help shape and build something from the ground up.

What you will get

  • £35,000 – £40,000 depending on experience
  • Hybrid working — 50/50 split between home and the office
  • The opportunity to help build and shape a developing procurement function
  • Real ownership, variety and visibility across the organisation
  • A values-led organisation where the work genuinely matters

This is a fantastic role for a procurement or purchasing professional who wants ownership and impact. Working closely with the Procurement Manager, Finance and operational teams, you’ll play a central part in strengthening procurement governance, improving compliance and embedding best practice across the organisation. If you like the idea of building process rather than just following it, this one is well worth a look.

Why this is a great role

This is an organisation investing in its future, building a robust, well-governed procurement function to support its continued growth. As Procurement Officer, you won’t be a small cog in a large machine. You’ll be hands-on in developing the Approved Supplier List, shaping supplier onboarding, and helping introduce a Purchase Order process alongside Finance. For the right person, it’s a chance to make a real mark and grow your career as the function matures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
