Procurement Operations Administrator

Salary: £34,646 per annum plus opportunity to earn up to 5% performance related pay

Location: Hale Village, London, N17

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.

Working with our Head of Procurement and Procurement Officer, your role will be to take responsibility for the day to day administration of the department, assisting in the preparation of the tender and quotation process, supporting the monitoring of compliance by assisting with audits and maintaining accurate records.

There will also be the opportunity to support stakeholders in putting together tender documents enabling the process by organising meetings, training sessions, and handling tender queries. You will also ensure external communications regarding procurement are up to date, such as the Newlon website and that all queries and issues are dealt with in a friendly, efficient, and timely manner.

Having previously worked in a similar role, you will have a good understanding of procurement practices and awareness of the Procurement Act 2023. You will be able to produce accurate reports using Excel and PowerPoint and have experience in preparing tender packs including collating specifications, technical and commercial questionnaires, and support evaluation criteria and scoring documentation. A confident communicator, able to present ideas in a clear and concise manner, you will be able to work independently as well as part of a team and work effectively to solve routine problems.
