Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is an extremely varied role – you’ll focus on a number of ad hoc projects involving areas such as commercial and ISO standards, security, sustainability and modern slavery, working and cooperating with colleagues and networking with other government departments. We’ll also expect you to provide expert advice and support to stakeholders and ensure there is commercial knowledge across the business. Your additional tasks will include overseeing and updating the procurement area of our intranet and providing the high-quality education and information necessary to ensure internal customers are aware of the latest policies.

Use all your team working skills as you help defend the UK’s security interests

To be a success in this significant senior role you’ll have the confidence to work on your own initiative as you make this role your own and collaborate and learn from established members of the team. Proactive, positive and flexible, you should be capable of interpreting and advising on the latest procurement legislation and government policies, while your superb project management and organisational skills will allow you to work well with colleagues at all levels of our organisation.

When it comes to qualifications, we’ll expect you to hold CIPS accreditation or have equivalent experience. In addition to extensive corporate policy experience involving senior stakeholder engagement, you should possess the skills to interpret and provide advice on relevant legislation and be willing to work with colleagues from a range of other government departments.
