About the Role
Kent seeks a Procurement Quality Control Supervisor to lead procurement quality activities and ensure timely progression of client and engineering deliverables through the project lifecycle. The role is initially based at our Woking office but will transfer to Saudi Arabia as the project develops.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Compliance
- Supervise and manage performance of direct reporting quality staff
- Ensure full compliance with the Project Quality Plan (PQP)
- Support implementation of Kent’s Management System
- Drive continuous quality improvements with management
Procurement Quality Oversight
- Review procurement documents to accurately reflect quality in Material Requisitions (MRs) and design specs
- Verify vendor documentation, certifications, quality plans, and supplier compliance
- Assess suppliers’ inspection procedures, personnel qualifications, and material certificates
- Monitor purchase requisitions’ progress
- Review purchasing Orders for MR compliance
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Evaluate vendor QA/QC systems against contractual terms
- Coordinate vendor quality approvals as needed
- Participate in supplier audits and surveillance activities
- Monitor vendee performance, including manufacturing progress
- Build strong relationships with contractors, vendors, and client representatives
Inspection & Testing Coordination
- Oversee vendor source inspections (including pre-inspection & level-one/witnessed inspections)
- Coordinate inspection routines (aligned with COMPANY witnessing standards)
- Liaise with third-party inspection (TPI) agencies on releases
- Plan, assign, and secure client approval for inspection personnel
- Ensure stipulated surveillance inspections are performed and documented
Pre-Inspection & Inspection Activities
- Prepare and submit Inspection Assignment Packages (Level 1+) to the client
- Organise and attend client or level-2+ meetings (if required)
- Prepare inspection agendas, schedules, and vendor alignment
- Finalise vendor inspection schedules
- Collaborate with vendors to clarify requirements and confirm planning
Documentation & Reporting
- Draft and submit inspection reports (including IDRs & final disposition reports)
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, surveillance, and documentation
- Ensure on-time submissions to the client
Non-Conformance & Issue Resolution
- Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Track/highlight non-conformances and coordinate resolution with discipline engineers
- Liaise with client/owner representatives on quality issues

Planning & Coordination
- Align procurement schedules, including two-week lookaheads and weekly reporting
- Meet client notification deadlines (e.g., 5-day inspection alerts)
- Coordinate internal/external audits, suppliers, and manufacturing alignment
- Collaborate with Project Management & Quality Teams on compliance
General Duties
- Oversee fabrication: equipment, steelwork, precast, and pre-engineered structures
- Maintain vendor inspection coordination
- Attend procurement & inspection meetings
- Perform additional ad hoc tasks expectably within the scope of the role
Qualified candidates may undertake unexpected tasks, adjusting to company needs as required.
Candidate Requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Engineering Degree with proven procurement QA/QC experience
- Supplier Quality Management Certification (preferred)
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification from a recognised organisation
- Expertise in quality management methodologies
- Industry standards familiarity: SAMSS & SAEPs compliance
- Saudi Aramco EPC Project experience & approvals
