Role: Procurement Supply Chain (Possibility of Going Perm)
Type: 6-Month Initially But Temp to Perm
Experience: 5 Years Plus
Location: Dundee
Hybrid Work: 3-4 Days Remote with 1-2 Days Onsite in Dundee
Salary: £35,000 - £43,000

A SME but growing company based in Dundee are looking to hire a procurement specialist to work within the supply chain team!
Must have experience of planning or assembly work.
The day to day is very fast paced and you must be tenacious and very pro-active.
This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on procurement professional who enjoys ownership, visibility, and working closely with delivery teams.
You’ll play a key part in alleviating immediate pressure ensuring the business has the materials, products, and services it needs to operate efficiently. The position involves managing supplier relationships, overseeing purchasing activity, and supporting wider supply chain performance.
The company are heavily involved in the assembly of parts which can be camera systems and therefore you need to source electronic components and parts and be extremely savvy with excel.

Key Skills Required:
- Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, SME-style environment
- Be a strong planner, pro-active with attention to detail and able to work alone
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Had exposure to ERP systems but please note our systems won't do the ERP for you and ours are more manual
- Confident negotiating and influencing at all levels
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a purchasing or procurement role
- CIPS qualification (or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards it
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with logistics or finance systems is an advantage
- Must be Excel savvy and understand basic formulas
- A background in R+D is a bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain assembly data within the ERP System (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central), ensuring accurate Bill of Materials and routing information. Challenging Operations on any deviations and understanding changes to BoMs.
- Coordinate the scheduling and tracking of assemblies within the ERP system to ensure timely completion of production orders in conjunction with Operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability of necessary materials to meet production requirements whilst minimising carrying costs.
- Collaborate with production and operations team to identify material needs and forecast requirements.
- Provide supply chain support for R&D projects, liaising with other senior managers as necessary to meet business requirements.
- Manage the flow of inventory and bill of materials required for production.
- Any other Procurement or supply chain support tasks.
- We are still developing process and systems and sometimes plans change and we need to start again, and rework assembles if the client changed the plan.
- We are an unstructured environment so need someone fast paced and dynamic.
