About Us:

Hydrokem Aerosols are located on the Wirral and specialise in the manufacture of aerosol and bag on valve products. We supply to a wide range of market sectors including personal care, healthcare/medical devices, veterinary, household, automotive and technical.

Hydrokem Aerosols is a part of Clinimed Holding Limited, a group of companies founded in 1982 following the acquisition and formation of number of additional companies within the group.

Job Summary:

As a vital member of our leadership team, you will oversee the complete procurement and supply chain operations. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, you will lead cross-functional teams and cultivate strong partnerships with suppliers to ensure seamless alignment with business goals, consistently achieving targets for cost efficiency, delivery timelines, and quality standards.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee the entire supply chain process, including procurement, planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance. Monitor and optimize raw material and component inventories to support production schedules and meet customer demand. Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on cost efficiency, timely delivery, and quality standards. Collaborate directly with clients to understand their production requirements and design customized supply chain solutions. Establish and manage stock-holding strategies such as vendor-managed inventory, consignment stock, and safety stock models to meet customer delivery expectations. Present and defend inventory and logistics solutions to clients, supporting contractual obligations. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and supply chain team. Partner closely with internal stakeholders across departments to ensure procurement activities align with broader business goals. Manage supplier relationships to enhance both operational efficiency and strategic value. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, minimize waste, and boost overall supply chain effectiveness. Identify and lead cost-saving opportunities to improve key supply chain performance indicators. Ensure all procurement projects are delivered on time and within budget. Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring terms are commercially advantageous and legally sound. Implement and refine sourcing and supplier management processes with a focus on risk mitigation and maximizing value. Leverage expert knowledge of SAGE ERP systems to manage procurement and supply chain operations. Travel internationally on occasion to support supplier engagement and operational requirements.

Personal Specifications:

Proven experience in senior procurement or supply chain management roles. Strong leadership skills with a successful track record of building and developing high-performing teams. Excellent proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAGE. In-depth understanding of contract terms and conditions and their practical application in supplier agreements. Demonstrated ability to manage the full sourcing lifecycle — from market analysis and supplier evaluation to negotiation and ongoing performance monitoring. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
