Our Mission
Our mission is to reach new audiences, on new platforms with new content.
About the Role
This is an exciting producer role which is initially centred around working with our streaming team, but with the opportunity beyond that to work across all ITV News output across programmes, digital and newsgathering.
You contribute to explainers, midform digital content and daily news delivery on YouTube and ITVX, as well as optimising content - working on thumbnails, headlines and creative, effective sells - to get the best out of ITV News coverage.
The successful candidate will edit YouTube toppers and long interviews, cut long belts of broadcast content for streaming and create thumbnail and headline plans for stories - there are also opportunities to pitch explainers and midform digital content.
You will understand the fundamentals of audience engagement and data analytics, helping to grow our audience on YouTube and ITVX.
Once the successful candidate is established in the role, they will have the opportunity and training to work across other aspects of the ITV News operation.
This role is primarily newsroom based, but with some opportunity for hybrid working. It will contain shift work, including weekends.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
