Working alongside presenters, producers, and content teams, you’ll help deliver standout content on air and across social and digital platforms.
The Difference You Will Make
As a Producer, your key contributions will include:

Playing a key role in delivering beloved programming such as:
- The world-famous Mellow Magic Evening Show
- Magic’s flagship Sunday request show

Creating engaging content that:
- Resonates deeply with audiences
- Maintains the brand’s warm, uplifting tone

Collaborating with presenters and the wider content team to:
- Shape creative ideas
- Produce compelling features
- Align programmes with audience needs and interests
Your Role
You’ll fulfil the following core responsibilities:
- Producing engaging live and pre-recorded content across Magic Radio for a national audience.
- Responsibilities include:
- Producing the Mellow Magic Evening Show and other Magic Radio programmes
- Developing and producing:
- Features
- Competitions
- Interviews
- All for broadcast
- Working closely with presenters to:
- Create engaging, audience-focused content
- Generating creative ideas that deliver impact on air and across social media
- Supporting major station campaigns through:
- Concept management
- Delivery oversight
- Editing and preparing content for:
- Live broadcasts
- Pre-recorded productions
- Ensuring programmes meet the highest:
- Editorial
- Production standards
- Contributing ideas to:
- Strengthen audience engagement across the Magic portfolio

The Skills You Will Bring
- At least 3 years’ in-studio radio production experience.
- Experience specifically working with and supporting on-air talent.
- Proven experience in:
- Producing broadcast content
- Editing broadcast content
- Strong editorial judgement and content creation skills.
- Experience developing ideas for:
- Broadcast performance
- Social media
- Expertise with:
- Radio editing
- Programme automation
- Familiarity with either:
- Radio scheduling software
- Bauer systems (with the willingness to learn)
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Adaptability under pressure and ability to remain calm.
- Positive, creative, and collaborative mindset.
- Understanding of a 35+ audience’s preferences and needs.
- Awareness of the Ofcom Broadcasting Code.
Working Pattern / Location
- Type: Permanent, full-time role.
- Primary Location: London.
- Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday.
