Join the team behind Magic Radio—one of the UK’s most beloved radio brands—reaching over 3.4 million listeners daily. Our family of stations (Magic Radio, Magic Soul, Mellow Magic, Magic Musicals) delivers uplifting music, engaging content, and meaningful connections for audiences aged 35+.
We’re a creative, collaborative environment where authenticity, passion, and fresh ideas drive our culture. As a Producer, you’ll work alongside presenters, producers, and content teams to deliver standout programming—both on air and across social & digital platforms.
The Difference You’ll Make
As a Producer, you’ll play a pivotal role in crafting Magic Radio’s most-loved programming, including the Mellow Magic Evening Show and Sunday request show.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing engaging content that resonates with listeners while upholding Magic’s warm, uplifting brand tone.
- Collaborating with on-air talent and content teams to bring creative ideas to life.
- Ensuring every programme aligns with audience needs and engagement goals.
- Supporting major station campaigns from concept to delivery.
Your Responsibilities
You’ll produce a mix of live and pre-recorded content across Magic Radio, including:
- Producing the Mellow Magic Evening Show and other major programmes.
- Developing and scripting features, competitions, and interviews for broadcast.
- Co-creating content with presenters to ensure audience-centric storytelling.
- Generating on-air and social media ideas that drive impact.
- Supporting campaign execution (concept to delivery).
- Editing and formatting content for live broadcasts and pre-production.
- Ensuring high editorial and production standards.
- Enhancing audience engagement across the Magic portfolio.
- Aligning content with magic’s brand ethos—positiveness, warmth, and community.

Skills & Experience
We’re looking for a radio producer with a robust skillset:
- 3+ years of in-studio radio production experience.
- Hands-on experience working with on-air presenters.
- Proven ability to produce and edit broadcast content.
- Strong editorial and creative content development skills.
- Experience crafting ideas that perform on air and social media.
- Proficiency in radio scheduling software (or a quick learner for Bauer’s systems).
- Excellent organisation, time management, and adaptability under pressure.
- A collaborative, uplifting, and creative mindset.
- Understanding of a 35+ audience—their interests and media behaviours.
- Knowledge of Ofcom Broadcasting Code guidelines.
Work Pattern & Location
- Permanent, full-time role in London.
- Sunday to Thursday working pattern.
