Automotive Product Analyst
Location: Milton Keynes
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Working pattern: Agile hybrid working, with a minimum of 60% of working time based in an office or business location

Overview
Our client, a major organisation within the automotive sector, is seeking an Automotive Product Analyst to support the setup, maintenance and analysis of vehicle product information and systems.
Reporting to the Product Manager, you will help ensure that commercial vehicles are configured, ordered, specified and priced accurately for the UK market. You will manage product data across multiple systems, support reporting and analysis, respond to stakeholder queries and contribute to model lifecycle activity.
This is a varied opportunity for a commercially aware and detail-focused analyst who is confident working with complex data, advanced Excel functions and multiple internal systems. You will also gain exposure to business transformation projects, competitive analysis and new vehicle launches during a significant period of change within the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain vehicle data across multiple product and ordering systems.
- Manage product information, vehicle specifications and pricing data for the UK market.
- Help ensure that vehicles are built, configured and priced accurately.
- Maintain accurate model data and complete routine product administration.
- Manage a shared product inbox and respond to queries from internal stakeholders and external third parties.
- Work closely with the Product Manager on model-year updates, lifecycle actions and product changes.
- Produce analysis and reports relating to model performance, product positioning and competitor activity.
- Support product managers with commercial insights and decision-making information.
- Participate in business transformation projects and cross-functional workstreams.
- Liaise with stakeholders across product, sales, pricing, ordering, operations and other relevant departments.
- Develop detailed knowledge of assigned vehicle ranges and act as an internal product expert.
- Champion the product portfolio across the wider business.
- Prioritise competing tasks and deliver accurate work within tight deadlines.

Requirements
Essential
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working across a variety of business systems.
- Strong data analysis and numerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to maintaining product information.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate data or system issues.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet demanding deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to contribute effectively within a team.
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of competitive market positioning.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a product analyst, commercial analyst, pricing analyst or data-focused role.
- Experience working within the automotive, transport, manufacturing or mobility sector.
- Familiarity with vehicle ordering, product configuration, pricing or specification systems.
- Experience analysing product performance or competitor activity.
- Exposure to product lifecycle management, model-year updates or new product launches.
- Experience contributing to transformation projects or process-improvement initiatives.
