Product Analytics & Experimentation Leader
Turn Data Into Better Customer Decisions
We're looking for an exceptional Product Analytics & Experimentation Leader to shape how one of the UK's leading consumer businesses uses data to drive product strategy, customer experience, and commercial growth.
This is a high-impact leadership role
- At the intersection of Product, Data, and Commercial Strategy.
- You'll define the future of experimentation and product analytics, helping product teams make faster, smarter, and more customer-centric decisions through world-class insight, measurement, and evidence-based thinking.
- Leading a talented team of analysts and partnering closely with senior Product and Technology leaders, you'll build the frameworks, capabilities, and culture that enable data-informed decision-making at scale.

The Opportunity
As the new Product Analytics & Experimentation Leader, you'll:
- Own the vision and strategy for how product performance is measured, understood, and optimised across the organisation.
- Move the business beyond traditional reporting by:
- Building scalable analytics capabilities.
- Embedding experimentation best practices.
- Creating frameworks that help teams confidently prioritise what matters most for customers and the business.
- Offer significant influence across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, and Executive Leadership, with the opportunity to shape product strategy and commercial outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
Analytics Leadership & Strategy
- Define and scale the Product Analytics function, establishing best practices for:
- Behavioural analysis.
- Experimenting and product measurement.
- Build a long-term vision for analytics capability, enabling teams to become increasingly self-serve and data-driven.
- Partner with senior Product leaders to ensure analytics directly influences strategic decision-making.
- Drive a culture of curiosity, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making across the organisation.

Experimentation Excellence
- Establish and embed experimentation frameworks that enable high-quality, statistically robust decision-making.
- Build and lead experimentation operations, including:
- Governance.
- Training.
- Clinics.
- Best-practice forums.
- Champion a test-and-learn culture across Product and Engineering teams.
- Ensure experiment outputs translate into clear business and customer outcomes.
Product Performance & Customer Insight
- Own and evolve the product metrics framework, including:
- North Star metrics.
- Input and guardrail metrics.
- Identify growth opportunities through:
- Customer behaviour analysis.
- Journey optimisation.
- Impact sizing.
- Translate customer data into actionable insights that improve:
- Engagement.
- Retention.
- Conversion.
- Customer satisfaction.
- Shape strategic product investments through rigorous measurement and commercial evaluation.
Advanced Analytics & AI Measurement
- Define measurement approaches for AI-driven and algorithmic product experiences alongside Data Science and Engineering teams.
- Develop attribution and impact measurement frameworks that align expected outcomes with realised business value.
- Lead complex investigations and analyses that influence major product and commercial decisions.
- Build scalable frameworks, tooling, and analytics infrastructure that increase organisational effectiveness.

Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Product Analytics team.
- Create clear development pathways and elevate analytical capability across the function.
- Foster strong partnerships across:
- Product Analytics.
- Data Science.
- Engineering.
- Commercial teams.
- Build an environment where analytical excellence and stakeholder influence go hand-in-hand.
What We're Looking For
Experience
- Proven experience leading and developing Product Analytics teams within high-growth digital or consumer businesses.
- Strong track record of using analytics to influence product strategy and commercial outcomes.
- Deep expertise in:
- Experimentation.
- A/B testing.
- Causal inference.
- Statistical analysis.
- Experience operating within product-led organisations where customer behaviour and data drive decision-making.
- Demonstrated success in building:
- Scalable analytics functions.
- Frameworks.
- Operating models.
Technical Capability
- Advanced SQL expertise and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Python, R, or similar analytical tooling.
- Deep understanding of experimentation methodologies and statistical best practices.
- Experience with modern product analytics and experimentation platforms.
- Strong understanding of:
- Customer behaviour.
- Product performance measurement.
- Attribution.
