The role
We're looking for someone to own the product and delivery side of our client projects. It blends two things: product ownership, and project and delivery management. In practice that means getting to the real business need behind what a client asks for, shaping it into work the team can build, and steering the project through to a successful outcome.
You'll typically hold two to three concurrent projects, owning the client relationship and the requirements on each.
The role leans towards product ownership, but you'll also pick up project and delivery management, sometimes both on the same project.
Your day-to-day
- Gather and interpret requirements, working out the customer's real needs rather than only their stated wants, so the team builds the right thing.
- Shape the solution with the client and the technical team, breaking it into epics and user stories, and write tickets that are clear and complete, with edge and error cases covered, so developers can pick up work without coming back with questions.
- Steer the team in the right direction for efficient delivery, by managing priorities and splitting development work into independent workstreams.
- Produce quick prototypes of new product ideas using AI-powered prototyping tools, to communicate ideas to the team and gather feedback.
- Manage specification sign-off and run the change process as scope evolves, so scope, budget and expectations stay aligned.
- Manage dependencies on the customer, chasing inputs and decisions, so delivery is not blocked waiting on their side.
- Plan, report on and deliver projects against their commercial parameters and timescales, proactively identifying and mitigating risks so projects land on time and on budget.
- Manage customers and stakeholders throughout, explaining technical concepts and constraints in terms they can reason about, so clients stay informed and confident.
- Foster a collaborative team environment and contribute to proposals with the sales team, so the strengths of the team are amplified and new work is well shaped.

How we work
Our teams pair a product and delivery lead with a Tech Lead and a group of developers, plus our QA and Design teams, and we run projects in an Agile way. We're an in-person Bristol team, and once you're settled you can work from home around two days a week.
You should apply if
- 5+ years in product ownership, business analysis or project/delivery management within software delivery.
- Experience as a Product Owner, ideally in a software house, consultancy or agency, with the ability to also hold the project and delivery management responsibilities.
- Comfortable holding two to three projects at once.
- Strong requirements and stakeholder skills, with a habit of getting to the underlying business and user needs rather than taking a brief at face value.
- A thorough and detail-oriented approach to owning a backlog, specification sign-off, the change process and customer dependencies.
- Practical Agile delivery experience, including managing budgets, risk, and change.
- Technical competency to assess task complexity and contribute credibly to technical discussions with the team.
- Confident explaining technical concepts and constraints to non-technical clients.
- Happy working across different client projects and business domains rather than one settled product.
- A collaborative, organised approach, and confidence engaging senior client stakeholders.
- Interest in using AI and modern tools to work at pace and to a high standard.
