Product & Platform
Product Architect / Product Engineer
Location
This position is currently available in the following locations:
- Hong Kong
- London, U.K.
- Remote / Hybrid friendly
Type
- Full Time
- Hired at multiple seniority levels (see below)
About The Role
We are hiring a Product Architect or Product Engineer to build the core product at the heart of our AI-native delivery model — the App, the AI Agent Platform, and the AI Gateway that powers every deployment our Forward-Deployed teams ship into customers.
This is a product-engineering role, not a delivery role. You will not be embedded in customer projects. You build, harden, and evolve the features and platform capabilities that everyone else deploys. The more deployments we run, the more pressure your product takes — and the more leverage your work generates.
You Will
- Own end-to-end product features across the App, AI Agent Platform, and AI Gateway — from spec, through build, to production rollout and feature telemetry
- Work in a remote and hybrid-friendly model — you do not need to sit in an office or at a customer site, but you are accountable for proactive checkpoints, clear async updates, and visible progress independent of supervision
- Be part of a small senior product team — direct collaboration with founders, Solution Architects, and the Forward-Deployed pods who are your internal customers
- Shape what an AI-native product platform looks like for enterprise customers — joining a small team to define the model, not inherit one
- Be coached by founders, former IBM Technology Thought Leaders, and senior product engineers
Responsibilities
- Designing and building production features across our product surface — App UX, AI Agent Platform (orchestration, agent SDK, evals, observability), and AI Gateway (model routing, guardrails, governance, billing, audit)
- Owning the technical architecture of your area — scalability, reliability, security, performance, cost
- Partnering with founders and the Solution Architect team on roadmap prioritisation; pushing back when something belongs in customer-specific work rather than the platform
- Building developer-grade APIs, SDKs, and admin tooling that the Solution and Forward-Deployed teams depend on every day
- Establishing engineering practices — code review, evals, telemetry, release management — that scale beyond the founding team
- Reviewing field feedback from Forward-Deployed Engineers and Consultants; turning recurring requests into platform features instead of one-off customisations
- Architects also: mentor mid-level engineers, lead technical hiring for the pod, represent the product in customer technical reviews when needed

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Skills & Requirements
- Strong product-engineering background — you have shipped production software at scale, ideally in enterprise SaaS, developer platforms, or AI products
- Deep technical skill across at least two of the following:
- Backend / platform engineering in Python / Node.js / Go / TypeScript
- Frontend / app engineering in React / Vue / Next.js
- AI / LLM engineering — agent orchestration, RAG, tool use, evals, guardrails
- Gateway / infra engineering — API design, rate limiting, model routing, policy enforcement, observability
- Cloud architecture on AWS / Azure / Alibaba Cloud / GCP
- Strong product instinct — you ship features that get used and removed when they don't; you measure success in adoption, not commits
- Comfortable working from a roadmap you helped write — and comfortable rewriting it when reality says so
- Strong written communication — your RFCs, architecture docs, and release notes are the artefacts the rest of the team builds against
- Proactive, low-supervision operator — you raise risks early, run your own checkpoints, and keep collaborators in the loop without being asked
- Strong sense of humor, low ego, and a genuine team player — your "customers" are internal teams that will tell you when you are wrong
Seniority Levels & Career Path
This role is hired at multiple seniority levels — we calibrate the title, scope, and compensation to your experience and demonstrated impact. The Architect title denotes the senior end of the track; the Engineer title denotes mid-level and below. All levels are full members of the product team — Associates are not "assistants".

- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Sets the long-arc technical direction across the App, AI Agent Platform, or AI Gateway.
- Mentors Senior Architects, owns the most strategic platform bets, represents the product to founders and key customers.

- 5–7 years of relevant experience.
- Owns a major product area end-to-end.
- Drives architecture decisions, leads cross-functional initiatives with Solution and Forward-Deployed teams, coaches Product Engineers.
Product Architect
- 4–5 years of relevant experience.
- Independently designs and ships features within a defined product area; light senior support; growing leadership scope.
