Job Description
Role Overview
As a Product Manager (Product Business Developer) within Canon’s Imaging Technologies & Communications Group, you will play a key role in driving the performance and growth of the Video, PTZ (Pan, Tilt & Zoom), and Broadcast camera product categories within the UK & Ireland market. This position carries commercial responsibility, with accountability for delivering ambitious revenue targets through effective product positioning, channel development, and investment management.
Working within a specialist and technical category, you will use your knowledge of the video, pro video, and cinema market to identify growth opportunities, respond to market trends, and strengthen Canon’s competitive position. You will combine this technical understanding with commercial awareness to drive profitable growth across both existing and emerging channels and segments.
Collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, EMEA HQ, and key customers, you will lead strategic planning, performance management, and go-to-market execution. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a growth category, influencing both short-term revenue delivery and long-term business expansion within a competitive and evolving market landscape.
Responsibilities
As our Product Business Developer, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Own and deliver the revenue and profit targets for the Video, PTZ, and Broadcast camera product categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth ambitions.
- Develop and execute category strategies to drive growth across existing channels and new markets, particularly within B2B and specialist segments.
- Apply technical understanding of video, pro video, cinema, and PTZ camera products to support effective product positioning and customer engagement.
- Analyse market trends, sales data, and competitor activity to identify risks and opportunities, translating insights into clear commercial actions.
- Manage and optimise investment to ensure maximum return, balancing short-term performance with long-term strategic growth.
- Drive pricing strategy, channel ranging, and go-to-market plans to maximise sell-out and market share.
- Work closely with Sales teams and key customers to support account development, deliver joint business plans, and strengthen partner relationships.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and EMEA HQ to ensure alignment on strategy, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Lead regular performance reviews, providing clear reporting and actionable insights to stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
