Overview:
The Product Control department is responsible for the production, analysis, publication and control of official daily P&L for all BlueCrest funds at a Portfolio Manager, Desk and Fund level, as well as oversight of monthly NAV production and approval of distribution of statements to investors.
The department operates across three offices - London, New York and Singapore - with teams focused on both product control and valuation control across all major asset classes. Its overarching objective is to develop innovative approaches that achieve best-in-class control of the business.
Role Requirements:
This role reports to the Product Control Senior Manager. Specific responsibilities include:
Production and oversight of key Product Control deliverables including daily P&L, monthly NAV finalisation, operating metrics reporting and effectiveness of core controls. Production of fund financial statements in accordance with the applicable accounting rules. Acting as a key point of contact with the firm’s external auditors. Supporting transformation project work in line with the Product Control and firmwide strategies, with particular focus on strengthening controls around month end NAV reporting.

Experienced Required:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Product Controller with experience within major banks and/or hedge funds with experience of direct involvement in strategic change initiatives and strong understanding of robust control environments. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate having extensive audit experience, gained either in accounting practice or in the finance industry
Desirable, but not essential, experience includes:
Experience of common Visualisation tools, ETL tools and/or Python. Exposure to more than one asset class. Understanding of Valuation control / IPV processes and of NAV accounting. Accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA etc.). Strong academic qualifications.

About you:
You will be an experienced self-starter able to work independently and prioritise competing tasks across a range of timescales. You will be excited by the idea of being a part of a best-in-class Product Control function.
Working across departments is critical, for which you will have excellent communication and influencing skills, and will need to be comfortable building strong working relationships both within Product Control and across a range of other functions within BlueCrest including Tech, Quants, Operations, Risk and Financial Control.
You will have a growth mindset with a desire to continuously learn and to constructively challenge the status quo.
